At this point you might be saying to yourself, “Well that’s a no brainer, everyone needs a car.” True enough, but not everyone needs a boat. For the past year Costco has had program in place with Sea Ray boats which functions the same as the auto program. The results so far? Sales of 1,075 boats with a gross value of $120,000,000. “This alliance between Sea Ray and the Costco Auto Program differs from those that some other boat brands have with other retailers. Specifically, in this arrangement, the dealer is an integral part of the process, not a service-only afterthought, so buyers get the full sales and service treatment of Sea Ray’s industry-leading dealer. The program was an offshoot of an arrangement between Sea Ray and Costco. Sea Ray began a partnership with Costco in 2009 after the Costco Auto Program approached the Knoxville, Tenn.-based builder late in 2008. For Sea Ray, the timing couldn't have been better. The collapsing economy was decimating new-boat sales.

Asking for myself.
Update 3:
The Costco setup seems pretty cut and dried and I'll use it for my next vehicle purchase. But as far buying a new car goes, right now, I'm going to pass on that commitment. I got out of a long term commitment in July (paid off the current car ) so I'm going to play the field instead with, drumroll please ..........
swap-a-lease
Mighty fine deals out there from only a few months to full-term type stuff. A previous co-worker has done it three times and had a good experience each time. He mentioned that you have two types of 'sellers' on swap-a-lease, rich people who WANT to get out of the lease (typically those with less than a year left) and people who NEED to get out of the lease (as demonstrated by the multi-year terms).
Win-win in each case lol.
No down payment, no nothing. Everything can be negotiated and co-worker said that having the 'seller', either type, pay for everything (transfer fee, etc) is quite do-able.
Now to determine which BMW I want. Of the vehicles within 500 miles, fully half are BMW, and the other half are every. other. manufacturer. out. there.
Welcome to Miami/south Florida
The other idea behind this is to use the money to finally finish my private pilot license certification.

Seadetails ? It turns out they have no more control of the system than what the website allows people to do. I would have to move up to the Limited package, and even then I only get 'close'. Ray
I will have to think about this as the Limited obviously means starting at a higher price.
Also, they don't yet actually have 'Costco Pricing' for the 2018 models. Greg F said the price would be 'about 2,500 below this price' (on the printout).
Double-hmmmmm.

Update 1:
I’m at the Costco-recommended dealership right now to see if they can build what I couldn’t on the Jeep website.
